Hi,

I hope everyone is coping well with the current pandemic. This is a nasty one. But we will get through this. I have received some reports of field status from managers. For instance, Conard High is not available until at least June 15th. Portland says as long as there are restrictions in town, we can not use the field. The governor has shut down the state until April 20th and the president’s task force is recommending through April. So it is just a matter of time before the state is also shut down until at least the end of the month. The 25+ schedule is preliminary and I am waiting for the official schedule before placing it on the web. Starting April 19th is obviously out. The 35+ is scheduled to start April 26. As soon as the state announces it is closed until the end of the month, I will extend the regular season 1 week and move week 1 to the end. We will reassess the situation and discuss options April 20th. May 3rd and 17th are the only other weeks that are scheduled before Memorial Day so hopefully the impact is minimal. We should be preparing for the season at this time. First, we should make sure all fields are insured. We still need the insurance fee from Plainfield. Next, baseballs should be ordered. Drew only has heard from 5 teams. We need to be ready to start the season when we get the go ahead. Please send Drew an e-mail indicating how many dozen you want, even it is 0. Drew’s email: ajclarke22@comcast.net and ajclarke@chubb.com. Also send in the money for the baseball order.

Finally, Waivers should be collected and forwarded to me either via e-mail or regular mail. We can hold off on collecting registration fees until we start or just send in what you have at this time. Waiver form is attached and Matt Ryan is working on getting the form on our web site. My address:

We will get through this. Everyone stay safe,
